【Artist Interview】Ms. Tidaa Wiwattada

PMU Global chaninsの認定インストラクターであり、PMU業界で10年以上の経験を持つ。
パラメディカルを専門とし、インストラクターとしての長年の経験を生かし、世界中の医師、看護師、PMUアーティストへ指導を行う。
アートメイクに興味を持ったきっかけは？
Tidaa：私は20歳の頃からカスタマーサービスに携わり、様々な背景や国籍を持つ人々に囲まれながら、最高のサービスを提供することが好きで、人を幸せにすることに喜びを感じていたからです。私の関心は、人々に素晴らしいサービスを提供することだけでなく、メイクアップにもあり、他のたくさんの女性も同じように言うでしょう。女性と美は、まるで2つのパズルのピースのようにとてもよく合う単語なのです。
お客様の安全を第一に考え、接客とメイクを両立させることができる最高の仕事をしたいと思いました。また、家系的にがん患者が多かったこともあり、安全や健康は大きな関心事です。
実は以前、私はボディタトゥーの業界で、タイのタトゥーアーティストのためにタトゥー用品を輸入していました。しかし当時は、眉毛のパーマネントメイクを行うための安全な製品を見つけることができなかったのです。そこでいろいろと調べていくうちに、BiotouchのPMUの専門性に強く興味を持ち、私のキャリアが始まりました。
なぜこの仕事に就こうと思ったのですか？
Tidaa：アートメイクが特にタイでブームになっていることを知ったからです。前述したように、私は以前からボディタトゥー業界におり、タイのタトゥーアーティスト向けにタトゥー用品を輸入していました。しかし、4〜5年前の当時は、お客様の眉毛のパーマネントメイクを行うのに、安全な製品を見つけることができませんでした。そこで、いろいろと調べているうちに、BiotouchのPMUトレーニングに強い興味を持ちました。私の使命は、タイにパーマネントメイクと良い化粧品を持ち込むことでした。
しかし、私は優れた品質のPMU化粧品や最先端の機器や機械の販売を目指すだけでなく、誰もが美しく目覚めることができると信じている人々に、優れたサービスやトレーニングを提供することを目指しました。それが、Biotouch Thailand(現PMU Global chains)の始まりです！
現在、Biotouchは世界44カ国以上でトレーニングセンターを開設し、製品の販売を行っていますが、その中でもトレーニングセンターとして認められているのは2カ国のみです：アメリカ・カリフォルニアとタイ・バンコクです。現在までに、世界中で70,000人以上のPMUアーティストがBiotouchのトレーニングを受けており、成功を収めています。
アートメイクを通して、一番印象に残ったエピソードは何ですか？
Tidaa：今日まで世界中の生徒がPMUのキャリアパスで成功し、彼らが好きなことで遠くに行くのを見たことです。 ある日、インターネットでこんな言葉を目にしました。「生徒が成功するのを見るのは、教えることの最も喜ばしい報酬の一つである」。私はこの言葉にとても共感しています。
得意分野や、普段の施術で力を入れていることは？
Tidaa：PMUに関心の高い学生を中心に、初心者の方から経験者の方まで幅広く対応しています。また、PMUの施術に興味のあるクライアントもいます。誰でも、私たちのクライアントになることができます。アートメイクの世界へご案内し、プロフェッショナルへと導くことができれば幸いです。a
アートメイクにおいて、一番大切だと思うことは何ですか？
Tidaa：私にとって、アートメイクが重要である理由は多くあります。
特に、家族や恋人と過ごす時間を増やしたい人、自分の時間を大切にしたい人にとっては、9時から5時までの勤務体制にとらわれずに働けるキャリアを作ることができます。
次に、お客様は自信を取り戻すことができます。例えば、眉や唇の不規則な形は、アートメイクで改善することができます。また、脱毛症や化学療法で髪に影響を受けた患者、乳房切除を受けたがん患者でも、アートメイク眉、頭皮のマイクロ色素注入、乳輪のマイクロ色素注入は、その特徴を強調し改善する現実的な解決法であり、その凸凹から注意を引き離します。
アートメイクは、化粧品アレルギーや皮膚過敏症に悩む人にも有効です。従来のアイライナー、アイブロウペンシル、口紅による膿疱やかゆみ、目の赤みや水腫にさよならを言うことができます。
最後に、年を取ると手が不安定になり、化粧がしにくくなることがありますが、アートメイクを受けた人はそうではありません。
Tidaさんにとって、アートメイクとは？
Tidaa：私にとってのアートメイクとは、究極の安全基準に焦点を当てながら、お客様に望ましい外観を与え、自信を感じてもらうことです。多くの場合、自信を取り戻すことになります。なぜなら、Biotouchでは「美しさには安全性が必要であり、お客様やスタッフ、生徒の安全が第一である」というスローガンを掲げているからです。
今後の展望をぜひ教えてください！
Tidaa：タイのアーティストや技術者のイメージを向上させ、タイでは安全なパーマネントメイクのタトゥー製品を使用しており、ここで施術を行うことは世界中のどこの国でも同じように安全であることを世界中の人に知ってもらいたいと考えています。
さらに、アートメイクの技術を最新のトレンドにアップデートし続けることです。それ以外にも、私たちの製品と教育において、最高レベルの誠実さを維持することを心がけています。
若手アーティストと日本人アーティストへのメッセージ

あるプロセスにおいて最も難しいのは常に最初であり、その後、物事は容易になるものです。情熱があれば、あきらめずに自分を追い込んでみてください。 挑戦すればするほど楽になり、あっという間に頂点に立つことができます。
アートメイク技術者という職業は、非常に人気があり、多くの特典により職業として評価されていることは間違いありません。しかし、安全な製品を使用していなかったり、必要な教育を受けていない無資格の技術者がたくさんいるのも事実です。初めてこの仕事に就く人は、トレーニングを受け、安全性を念頭に置いて下さい。皮膚や血液などの体液を扱う仕事では、お客様のためだけでなく、自分自身のためにも、安全と健康を第一に考えなければならないからです。

Today we present Ms. Tidaa Wiwattada, a certified instructor at PMU GlobalChains. We had a chance to talk with her about art makeup in Asia, her encounter with Biotouch Thailand, and her future plans. Please read to the end.

She is a certified instructor with PMU global chains and has over 10 years of experience in the PMU industry.
Specializing in paramedical, she has used her years of experience as an instructor to teach physicians, nurses, and PMU artists around the world.
What made you interested in PMU?
Tidaa：I started working in the customer service field since I was 20 years old and always loved being surrounded by different people with different backgrounds and nationalities providing them the best service possible because I found love in making other people happy. My passion is not only being around people giving them great service but is also makeup, I think a lot of other women would say the same. Women and beauty are a vocabulary that just goes together very well like two puzzle pieces.
I wanted to find the best possible career where I can combine both customer service and makeup together where the safety of the customers is our number 1 concern. Safety and health are also a big worry for me; having a family background on cancer cases.
In fact, I had been in the body tattooing industry before, importing tattoo supply for Thai tattoo artists. But back then, they couldn’t find any safe products in the market to do permanent makeup for eyebrows for their clients. So, I started to do some research and was strongly interested in Biotouch’s PMU expertise and so my career started.
Why did you decide to pursue this career?
Tidaa：I realized that permanent makeup was booming especially in Thailand. As mentioned prior, I had been in the body tattooing industry before, importing tattoo supply for Thai tattoo artists. But back then 4-5 years ago, we couldn’t find any safe products in the market to do permanent makeup for eyebrows for our clients. So, I started to do some research and was strongly interested in Biotouch’s PMU training. My mission was to bring good products in permanent makeup and cosmetics products to Thailand.
But I did not only aim to sell superior-quality PMU cosmetics and cutting-edge equipment and machines but also was aiming to provide excellent services and training to people who believe everyone can wake up beautiful! and that’s how Biotouch Thailand started!
Today Biotouch has expanded its realm in selling its products and having authorized facilities in more than 44 countries but only two countries are recognized by Biotouch with training centers: One in California, USA and another one in Bangkok, Thailand. To this date more than 70,000 permanent makeup artists around the world have been professionally and successfully trained with Biotouch methods.
What is a moment in your Permanent Makeup journey that was most memorable to you?
Tidaa：My most memorable journey in my Permanent Makeup Journey until today is seeing all my students from all over the world succeed in their PMU career path and seeing them go far in what they love. I saw this quote from the internet one day that said: ‘Seeing your students becoming successful is one of the most gratifying rewards of teaching’ . I very much agree with this statement.
Areas of Expertise
Tidaa：We focus on students who are highly interested in PMU for both the beginners and professionals with experience already. As well as clients who are interested in getting their PMU procedure done. Anyone can be our client, we are happy to guide them into the world of Permanent makeup and lead them to professionalism.
What do you think is the most important aspect in Permanent Makeup? Why?
Tidaa：For me there are many aspects of why Permanent Makeup is important. One of them being it creates a career for people who want to work outside the 9-5 h system especially for those who want to spend more time with family and loved ones and want to work on their own time.
Secondly, clients can regain back their confidence getting Permanent Makeup procedures e.g. Irregular shapes of your eyebrows or lips can be improved with permanent makeup or even patients who have alopecia or whose hair has been affected by chemotherapy or cancer patients who have underwent mastectomy; permanent eyebrows, scalp micropigmentation or areola micropigmentation can be a realistic solution to enhance and improve their features and pull attention away from their irregularities.
Permanent Makeup can also help people you suffer makeup allergies and skin sensitivities. One can say their good bye to pustules and itchiness or even red and watery eyes caused by traditional eyeliner products, eyebrow pencils and lipsticks.
Fourthly, getting older could mean unstable hands at some points, therefore applying makeup could be harder but not for those who underwent PMU procedure. a
What Does Permanent Makeup Mean to You?
Tidaa：PMU for me is to give your clients the desired look, making them feel confident, in a lot of cases even bringing back their confidence while focusing on the ultimate safety standards. Because at Biotouch we focus on one main slogan: “Beauty must come along with safety because safety for our clients, our staff and students is our number one concern!”
Future Prospects of your career as a PMU artist and the PMU industry
Tidaa：We want to improve the image of Thai artists and technicians in permanent makeup and show everyone in the world that Thailand uses safe permanent makeup tattoo products and doing a procedure here is as safe as everywhere else in the world.
Besides that, to keep updating our skills in Permanent Makeup to the newest trend. Other than that, to be committed in maintaining the highest level of integrity in our products & education.
Message to Beginner Artists & Japanese PMU Artists
Tidaa：“The master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried.” ― Stephen McCranie
The hardest part of a process is always the beginning; things get easier afterwards. If you have the passion do not give up and try to push yourself forward, the more you try the easier it gets and you will reach the top in no time.
The profession as a PMU technician is definitely becoming very popular and valued as a profession for its many perks. However, there are a lot of unqualified technicians out there who may not use safe products or have not pursued the required education. Make sure if you are new into this career path to consider training and keep safety in mind as well as for technicians who are long time in this career path already, because safety and health must be the ultimate number one when working closely with skin, blood and other body fluids not just for your clients but for you as well.
