Sherah Juarez
Sherah has been in the paramedic tattoo industry for over 20 years now. She is actively involved in 28 plastic surgeons offices and 8 major hospitals in Houston, Texas and surrounding areas. She has performed over 10,000 areola tattoo procedures.
パラメディカルアートメイクに20年以上従事し、最近はヒューストン内とその周辺の整形外科や病院で活躍。これまでに10,000件以上の乳輪アートメイクを行った。
Striving for a career that helps people 人を助ける仕事がしたい
Next in PMU（以下、NP）：What made you interested in Permanent Makeup and how did you begin your career in this industry?
アートメイクに興味を持った理由やアートメイクでのキャリアを始めたきっかけは何ですか？
Sherah：I was a single Mother of 4, and was looking for a career that would allow me to still volunteer in my children’s school. I knew if I was going to be away from my family, I wanted to be doing something that mattered and would help others.
私は4人の子供のシングルマザーだったので、子供の学校でのボランティアが続けられる仕事を探していました。家族と離れることになったとしても、人を助ける仕事がしたいと思っていました。
What does Permanent Makeup mean to you?

NP：What does Permanent Makeup mean to you?
Sherahさんにとってアートメイクとは何ですか？
Sherah：PMU is an incredible industry that has truly changed the course of my life. 20 years ago when I started, I never dreamed that I would be building an empire.
If I can do this, I know that anyone that sets their mind to it can also do it. So many opportunities available.
アートメイクは私の人生の道を変えた素晴らしい業界です。私がアートメイクを始めたのは20年前で、こんな風に帝国を築くなんて夢にも思ってなかったです。私ができたのだから、その気になれば誰でも同じようにできます。機会はたくさんあるのです。
Areas of Expertise

NP：What is your main focus of treatment?

Sherah：I specialize in 3D areola tattoos, and realism tattoos. My patients are breast cancer survivors, and burn patients.
私は乳輪乳頭3Dアートメイクとリアリズムタトゥーのスペシャリストです。私の患者は乳がんサバイバーや熱傷患者です。
NP：Thank you for sharing photos! It is such an incredible procedure, as not only are you restoring clients’ physical appearance, but also restoring their emotional and mental wellbeing by giving them a sense of relief and confidence.

Future Prospects

NP：What are your future prospects for your career as a PMU artist?
PMUアーティストとしての今後の展望を教えてください。
Sherah：I am in the process of creating a program that teaches artists how to train areola tattooing. I am very passionate about helping to protect the integrity of this industry.
私は今、乳輪アートメイクの方法をアーティストに教えるプログラムを作っている途中です。私は、この業界の発展と保全に情熱を注いでいます。
What are three things you cannot live without?

NP：Name three things that are essential to your daily life.
普段の生活に欠かせないもの3つを教えてください。
Sherah：Battery powered tattoo machine!!!!! I am so happy to be free of the cords. Chocolate (let’s be honest) and My family.

Staying active and making the most out of leisure time

NP：What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
余暇は何をして過ごしていますか？
Sherah：I enjoy reading, dancing, and swimming.

NP：Can you give a message to young artists to further develop their role within the PMU industry?

Sherah：How you make people feel is just as important as how you make them look!
人々をどう感じさせるかは、人々をどう見せるかと同じくらい大切です！
