Profile
Mosha Quintana
Over the past 6 years, she has received various trainings and certifications. In addition to the opportunity to speak as a judge at the PMU Asia International Conference 2022 and PMU Thailand Conference 2022, she has also trained at 19 master courses including Q Vision, Phi Academy, Fleek Brows, and Sviato Academy.
Why did you decide to pursue this career?
Mosha:My PMU career began with my passion for ultra high quality nail art. I was working as a nail artist for 6 years before PMU. I took many trainings with master nail artists in Japan and also attended Tokyo Nail Expo 4 years in a row before the pandemic.
What is a moment in your Permanent Makeup journey that was most memorable to you?
Mosha:When I discovered my own signature way of working is the most memorable moment so far. But teaching others and seeing them improve and produce great model work is becoming the new one.
Areas of Expertise
Mosha:My demographic is mostly Asian, Hispanic and Caucasian clients. Combo and Ombre brows are most requested, but full hair stroke technique is becoming very popular lately.
What do you think is the most important aspect in Permanent Makeup? Why?
Mosha:Always remember that learning never stops. This is most important when becoming a great artist. New techniques and methods are emerging all the time. Never underestimate the knowledge and skill of young upcoming artists.
Next in PMU:I think it is really important to keep learning, and by constantly incorporating new techniques and methods, we can expect to grow even more as artists. Since there are so many enthusiastic people in the industry, if we can also greatly respect the knowledge and techniques of young artists and grow together with them, we will be able to improve as an industry.
What Does Permanent Makeup Mean to You?
Mosha:PMU, to me, means the happiness of clients and students alike. To be trusted with the opportunity of making someone more beautiful and confident, and delivering that happiness, is the very definition of what PMU should mean for every artist. Also, to teach and give that same opportunity for someone else to succeed is priceless.
Future Prospects of your career as a PMU artist and the PMU industry
Mosha:I would love to pursue the opportunity to teach in other countries. I have received so much love from my clients and followers from different parts of the world. Offers for me to teach in Dubai, Australia and Europe have really humbled me, and opened my eyes to the possibilities of the PMU industry.
Message to Beginner Artists & Japanese PMU Artists
Mosha:Beginner artists should practice every day. Building muscle memory is very important as a PMU artist. The more you practice, the quicker you will succeed. The discipline of Japanese tradition aligns very much with PMU artists. Practicing every day to build muscle memory and efficiency are key to becoming a successful and master artist.
Thank you so much for joining us today, Mosha! We look forward to your continuous success!
